Immerse Yourself in Gilded Age Glamour At The Flagler Museum

Originally the opulent winter home of Standard Oil mogul and hotel and railroad tycoon, Henry Flagler, Whitehall was considered to be one of the finest examples of Beaux Arts style architecture of its time. After being converted to a hotel after Flagler's death, the mansion was rescued from demolition in 1960 when Henry Flagler's granddaughter, Jean Flagler Matthews, transformed the home into Florida's very first museum.
Today, the fully-restored mansion is filled with Gilded Age antiques, stunning works of art and Whitehall's original 1,249-pipe J.H. & C.S. Odell Co. organ. The new Pavilion is home to a cafe and houses Henry Flagler's restored private Railcar No. 91.
Visitors can explore this National Historic Landmark and enjoy guided tours, a variety of rotating exhibits, educational programming, and special events throughout the year.
