Sports in Palm Beach

Visit Training Camp for the Washington Nationals

If you're looking to satisfy your hunger for sports in Palm Beach, the area offers a world of options, from nearby golf to a new baseball spring training stadium for the Washington Nationals to polo, racing and more. Be sure to visit Roger Dean Stadium in nearby Jupiter, a $28 million complex designed to house two Major League and four Minor League baseball teams. Roger Dean Stadium is the only venue in the nation to have six professional baseball teams utilize the facility throughout the year, making it widely known as the busiest ballpark in the nation.

Also nearby is the National Croquet Center, a unique ten-acre site that is considered the largest croquet complex in the world. The space is ideally equipped for meetings and events both large and small. Lessons and court times are available by reservation daily.

New Stadium for Baseball Spring Training

Both the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros are getting a new home for spring training in West Palm Beach with the construction of a brand new stadium, the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. Slated to open in 2017, the opening of the stadium makes the area a new coveted destination for sports in Palm Beach, ending an 18-year hiatus of spring training baseball in West Palm Beach after the Atlanta Braves and Montreal Expos left the area in 1997.
